It was a catastrophic day for the anti-gun movement.

Their most precious gun control law was destroyed in one historic ruling.

Now anti-gunners are furious after a judge took down the biggest gun control regime.

Oregon is one of the most unique states in America, as it is effectively two states in one. Portland and the surrounding areas are incredibly liberal, while the rural eastern part of the state is one of the most conservative regions in America.

Unfortunately for gun owners in Oregon, the liberal and anti-gun region around Portland has a higher population than the pro-gun eastern part of the state.

That means when statewide elections occur, the anti-gunners almost always win. The same goes for gun-related ballot questions.

In 2022, Oregon voters approved a draconian new set of gun control laws through the ballot initiative process.

Overnight, Oregon became one of the most anti-gun states in America, despite the best efforts of gun rights activists in the eastern part of the state.

But one judge wasn’t about to let Oregon kill off the Second Amendment entirely, and he handed down a ruling that infuriated the anti-gunners who pushed for the new law.

According to The Columbian, “A voter-approved Oregon gun control law violates the state Constitution, a judge ruled Tuesday, continuing to block it from taking effect and casting fresh doubt over the future of the embattled measure.

“The law, one of the toughest in the nation, was among the first gun restrictions to be passed after a major U.S. Supreme Court ruling last year changed the guidance that judges are expected to follow when considering Second Amendment cases.

“The decision was handed down by Circuit Court Judge Robert S. Raschio, the presiding judge in Harney County in rural Southeast Oregon.”

This is a major blow to gun control advocates who were celebrating this new law as one of their biggest victories nationwide.

They thought they finally had a model for gun control legislation to circumvent the Second Amendment and crack down on gun owners. But they were wrong.

The article continues, “The law requires people to undergo a criminal background check and complete a gun safety training course in order to obtain a permit to buy a firearm. It also bans high-capacity magazines.

“Measure 114 has been tied up in state and federal court since it was narrowly approved by voters last November.

“The state trial stemmed from a lawsuit filed by gun owners claiming the law violated the right to bear arms under the Oregon Constitution.”

What started out as a huge victory for the gun-control movement has transformed instead into a major victory for the Second Amendment.

The ruling by Judge Raschio has saved gun owners from a crackdown at the hands of Oregon authorities.

For almost a year, Oregon was one of the most anti-gun states in America with a draconian law that limited the rights of its people.

But that all changed for gun owners after one historic ruling by the courts.
