The mask has been lifted on Democrats’ true intentions with gun control.
Joe Biden has promised to “finish the job.”
Now gun owners are gearing up for a fight to defend their most basic rights.
Anti-gun Democrat politicians have been taking aim at the Second Amendment for decades, and they think they finally have their man in Joe Biden to finish the job.
As a U.S. senator, Biden was one of the most anti-gun members of Congress, and he consistently voted for gun control measures that targeted law-abiding gun owners.
Now he has taken that radical ideology with him to the White House, and he is hoping voters give him four more years as president to “finish the job” and fully dismantle the Second Amendment.
That is what he is telling his base to rile them up, as he knows the anti-gun movement is a core constituency of the Democratic Party.
He is promising major gun control in his second term and asking for people’s votes to make that happen.
And it seems that gun rights advocates will have a major fight on their hands as Biden makes his biggest offensive yet against gun rights.
According to The Messenger, “Joe Biden has checked several major items off his legislative to-do list as president — and now he’s telling voters he plans to ‘finish the job’ in a second term.
“He wants to codify federal abortion rights, ban assault weapons, make prescription drugs more affordable, slash emissions, target junk fees, increase taxes for the wealthy and pass immigration reform.”
This is not the first time Biden has called for a ban on so-called “assault weapons” but with an increased Democratic majority in the Senate, he may really have a chance to get it done depending on how the 2024 election goes.
After all, pro-gun Democrats have all but disappeared from the party, taken out in primaries by far-left activist progressives.
And this has made the political environment far more dangerous for the Second Amendment.
Biden also has other plans in case Democrats don’t have a total majority in Congress.
The article continues, “If Congress is still divided after the 2024 election — and it likely will be — some of Biden’s most controversial and significant legislative goals may be out of reach. But he can also take executive actions, which have the force of law, even if those actions can be reversed by the next president.”
Biden’s executive actions to bypass Congress are an outrageous abuse of presidential authority, as the president is supposed to be 1/3 of the federal government, not an outright dictator.
But Biden has never cared much for constitutional constraints on his power, and he is seeking to use his position as president to crush gun rights in America.
An executive action to ban assault weapons would bring a huge number of court challenges and may end up getting thrown out.
But it is something gun owners need to keep an eye out for as Joe Biden seeks another four years as president.
