A game-changing bill to defend the right to bear arms has passed.
It will soon become law and will expand gun rights for millions.
And even the gun-grabbers were forced to concede defeat in this fight.
Constitutional Carry continues to gain momentum across the country, as more states look to pass this legislation to protect gun rights for their citizens.
There are currently 27 states that have some version of a Constitutional Carry law, and Louisiana is looking to join the club by passing a bill of their own.
The Constitutional Carry bill that is making its way through the Louisiana Legislature has passed a crucial committee in the Senate and will soon get a full vote.
And despite the media’s hostility to gun rights, even the media has been forced to admit that this bill is almost certainly going to become law.
Gov. Jeff Landry has vowed to sign it, and the Senate is expected to pass it through to his desk.
And as soon as his ink hits the paper, gun owners throughout the state will jump for joy as they notch an important victory for their rights.
According to KALB 5 News, a news outlet that clearly isn’t happy about these developments, “Anyone 18 and older in Louisiana could soon be allowed to carry a concealed firearm without a permit or training, but an attempt to keep guns away from people who could harm themselves or others has stalled in the Legislature.”
The framing there is incredibly biased. They want people to believe that Louisiana legislators are trying to get people hurt by guns.
The article continues, “Only one level of legislative approval remains for Senate Bill 1, which its author, Republican Sen. Blake Miguez, calls a ‘constitutional carry’ proposal. The House Committee on the Administration of Criminal Justice gave its approval to the bill Monday, leaving only a vote in the full House — where it’s expected to pass — before it goes to Gov. Jeff Landry’s desk.”
Miguez doesn’t just call it a “constitutional carry” proposal. Everyone calls it “constitutional carry.” It is quite literally the name of the bill in every state that passes it.
“Not long after the House committee vote, the Senate Committee of Judiciary C voted to defer a red-flag law, Senate Bill 14, which effectively shelves the legislation. Sen. Gary Carter, D-New Orleans, wrote the proposal taking into account the likely passage of the Miguez measure. It would have allowed district attorneys to petition a judge in instances where someone with a firearm is deemed a public threat.”
KALB 5 News might be salty that Louisiana is going to expand gun rights, as they almost certainly would rather the Second Amendment be repealed and guns forcibly taken away, but thankfully Louisiana hasn’t listened to their local media.
And even KALB 5 News had to admit that this bill is going to pass.
Louisiana is about to become a Constitutional Carry state, which is great news for everyone there who owns a gun.
