Based in Thun, Switzerland, B&T, formerly known as Brügger und Thomet, was formed in 1991 by Karl Brugger and Heinrich Thomet. B&T was initially a manufacturer of firearms parts and accessories for several manufacturers, and B&T produces suppressors for H&K. According to their profile, B&T owns over 500 different types of firearms in order to engineer accessories for them. In 2004, they unleashed their outstanding engineering department and started producing weapons like the MP9 Submachine gun, its civilian counterpart, the TP9, the APR Sniper rifle, and a 40mm grenade launcher. B&T has evolved into manufacturing some of the world’s finest tactical firearms systems and weapons systems for special operations, with their U.S. office location in Tampa, Florida, close to Special Operations Command.

THE RECEIVER
The rifle is a large-caliber version of the SPR300 PRO and comes in Short-Barreled Rifle and pistol versions. The receiver is hard anodized aircraft aluminum with a full-length Picatinny rail for your choice of optics. Other features include an upgraded Timney trigger, a single-stage trigger, a three-position safety, an adjustable stock, Picatinny accessory rails on the handguard at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, and a pistol grip with interchangeable inserts.
THE BOLT & BARREL
The bolt features a cocked bolt indicator. The barrel is 9.9 inches long with a 1 in 3 twist and is integrally suppressed with a titanium suppressor. B&T claims this rifle has the accuracy to fire subsonic 300-grain bullets with sub-MOA accuracy at 150 yards.

THE VERDICT
B&T is always on the cutting edge of innovation, and this rifle is an excellent solution for discreet carry for specialized missions. It ships as a deployment kit that includes scope rings, two 10-round magazines, a folding bipod, and a discreet soft case. The operator must supply the optic.
