This gun control group thought they had a brilliant plan to attack the RNC.

But it backfired on them very badly.

And they ended up helping the very people that they were seeking to attack.

Many of the gun control groups in America, such as Michael Bloomberg’s group Everytown, are in practice little more than front groups for the Democratic Party.

Their job is to attack Republicans and endorse Democrats, in the hopes that Democrats will win and will enact their agenda.

That became very clear again during the Republican National Convention, as Everytown tried to come after Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance who is the new nominee for vice president.

They were attempting to smear him as a pro-gun extremist by putting out a list of the political positions that he has taken on the gun issue over the years.

But in the process of trying to smear him, they actually made Vance look extremely good to people who support gun rights.

And many observers noted that their attack was more likely to help Vance in the campaign than to hurt him.

According to The Truth About Guns, “Everytown for Gun Safety (a.k.a. Gun Control), er really, Everytown for No Guns For Little People has put into words what we all knew would come. Only they did it even faster than we thought possible. In a single meme, they gave American gun owners lots of reasons to vote for the Trump-Vance ‘Make America Great Again’ ticket.”

The meme said that Vance had opposed expanded background checks and red flag laws, as well as supporting the arming of school teachers and advocating for the abolition of the ATF.

All of these things make him very appealing to millions of people nationwide who are strong supporters of the Second Amendment.

The article continues, “What’s more, Everytown does this something like 48 hours after a radical Act Blue donor shot President Trump in the ear, narrowly missing a head shot assassination. For a 20-year-old social misfit, the murderous lunatic came closer to taking out a president than anyone since the CIA shooters did with Kennedy 60 years ago.”

“Moreover, as political violence escalates this summer prior to the November election – and it very likely will – more and more non-gun owners are going to look around and decide that they don’t have to remain on the gun control plantation.”

Perhaps Everytown’s message will backfire in another way, actually convincing people who don’t own guns to go out and buy one for themselves in order to protect their safety.

It’s clear that Everytown and their fellow gun control lobby groups are losing the overall political battle, as the rollback of gun rights that they are hoping for simply hasn’t happened.

Tens of millions of Americans still own guns, and bills like Constitutional Carry are continuing to pass in various states.

Now, in an attempt to smear J.D. Vance, they have apparently helped his campaign, which will make it very hard for them to attack him again moving forward.
