Joe Biden is on the verge of launching a nationwide gun control campaign.
He plans to bully states into doing his work for him on gun control.
And the nasty details of his plan were just leaked to the public.
Joe Biden knows that his progressive base expects him to deliver “victories” for them. And one of their big pet issues is gun control.
Many of them come from places like New York or Massachusetts where gun ownership is extremely low. They did not grow up around guns, and guns make them extremely nervous.
Because they feel this way, they think guns should be banned in order to make them feel more safe and protected.
They are expecting Joe Biden to use his power as president to deliver gun control, and he is attempting to do just that.
Biden is announcing a nationwide plan to use state governments to enact gun control and is even putting forward model legislation to do just that.
And as the dirty details of this plan leak out, gun owners are realizing that they have a serious fight on their hands to defend their rights.
According to The Hill, “The White House outlined a list of recommended gun safety measures to be implemented at the state level Wednesday, the latest instance of the Biden administration pushing to curb gun violence.
“Vice President Harris was set to host dozens of state legislators from across the country to launch the Safer States Initiatives, which officials said would give states ‘additional tools and the support they need to reduce gun violence and save lives.’
“As part of the initiative, the White House released what it called six key actions it believes states should take, including the establishment of an Office of Gun Violence Prevention like the one President Biden created at the federal level in September.”
The establishment of this office at the federal level was already an unprecedented move, as it is one of the only federal offices that is explicitly dedicated to taking away a constitutional right.
The article continues, “The White House is also urging states to invest in proven gun violence prevention methods, such as red flag laws that allow law enforcement to take weapons away from individuals deemed a threat to themselves or others.
“Other recommendations include increased support for survivors and victims of gun violence, banning assault weapons, strengthening background checks and requiring safe storage of firearms.”
Here is what Stefanie Feldman, who heads up the so-called “Office of Gun Violence Prevention,” had to say: “We’ve been meeting with state legislators ever since the start of our office, and one thing we hear all the time is they want to do more to reduce gun violence.”
It’s clear that they want to do far more than just that. They want to strip law-abiding gun owners of their most precious constitutional rights.
And they want to enlist states to do their dirty work for them by passing red flag laws, “assault weapon” bans, and other nasty pieces of gun control.
