Gun owners may soon be stripped of their possessions.

They are under heavy attack by anti-gun politicians.

And their assets will be seized by the government after a shocking new law.

As more and more pro-gun states pass laws like Constitutional Carry to expand gun rights for their citizens, blue states are going in the exact opposite direction.

Colorado is a state with widespread gun ownership, but their government is launching a horrific attack on the rights of their citizens.

Gov. Jared Polis of Colorado claims to be a “libertarian Democrat” but he is now caving under pressure from the left flank of his party and supporting a bill that is anything but libertarian.

The Colorado legislature is trying to pass a bill that would jack up taxes for gun owners in order to discourage them from owning firearms.

This bill would lead to gun owners having their financial assets taken by the government as punishment for exercising their Second Amendment rights.

If it passes, this bill will make Colorado one of the most anti-gun states in America and could lead to millions of gun owners leaving the state.

According to Newsweek, “Colorado could increase taxes on guns and ammunition sold in the state if voters approve it.

“A bill that would put the issue on the ballot in November passed the state’s House Finance Committee in a 6-5 vote on Monday, and now heads to the Appropriations Committee.

“House Bill 24-1349 would ask voters if they be in favor of a 9 percent tax—initially 11 percent—on guns and ammunition.”

Polis, who previously had shown some hesitation about passing gun control due to his personal libertarian leanings, has caved to the most extreme members of his party and signed numerous draconian gun bans in the past couple of years.

Last year, according to CBS News, “Colorado’s governor signed four gun control bills Friday, following the lead of other states struggling to confront a nationwide surge in violent crime and mass shootings, despite a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that expanded Second Amendment rights.”

Because of that, it seems like a safe bet that he would sign this as well.

The Newsweek article continues, “Opponents to the bill, including gun rights advocacy group Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, testified before the committee on Monday.

“Ian Escalante, the director of operations for the group, railed against the bill in a video posted on social media, calling it ‘absolutely insane.’”

It is absolutely insane that a state with as many gun owners as Colorado has would launch such a brazen attack on their own people.

It’s clear that the intention is to drive gun owners out of the state in order to make it a progressive and anti-gun “paradise.”

If this bill passes, gun owners who live in Colorado may soon think about packing up and heading to a place that doesn’t hate them.

After all, Colorado politicians are on the warpath against guns, and it appears that they won’t let anything get in their way.
