The ATF may soon be given unimaginable new powers.
They are going to have free rein to crack down on millions of Americans.
And D.C. erupted as this plan was leaked to the public.
When Democrats say they only want to ban what they like to call “assault weapons,” they are completely lying.
Their goal extends far beyond that. They want to get every single gun out of the hands of Americans and eliminate the Second Amendment.
This becomes clear when they go after some of the most basic and popular guns in the country and try to take them away from law-abiding citizens through heavy-handed gun control regulations.
That is exactly what attorneys general in blue states are currently trying to do, and they are looking to use the ATF to crack down on these innocent civilians.
In fact, members of Congress have been pushing the ATF to do this for a long time, and now these blue states are attempting to create the framework for that to happen.
But this gun control plan is causing serious controversy now that it has been made public.
According to Reuters, “Twelve states and Washington, D.C., have sent a letter to gun maker Glock, asking the company to preserve documents about its line of pistols and their ability to be converted into machine guns as the states investigate whether the sale of the guns violates their laws.
“The letter, authored by New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin and signed by the attorneys general from Colorado, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and several other states, comes a week after the city of Chicago sued Glock, claiming it has known for years that the addition of a small, cheap part called an auto sear can turn its handguns into illegal machine guns that can fire up to 1,200 rounds per minute.”
The fact that anti-gunners are coming after Glock shows just how far they are willing to go to eliminate all guns in the entire country.
The ATF is a core part of this plan, as Bearing Arms makes clear in their write-up about this issue.
“Democrats like Rep. Eric Swalwell and Rep. Jake Auchincloss of Massachusetts have been calling on the ATF to reclassify Glocks for several years now, and it looks like the gun control lobby has decided now’s the time to make a concerted effort to turn their gun ban fever dreams into reality.”
Swalwell and Auchincloss have to be jumping for joy at this new attack on the Second Amendment by blue state attorneys general.
This will give the ATF the power to crack down on all Americans who own Glocks, turning innocent civilians into criminals overnight due to their ownership of a firearm that anti-gunners don’t like.
Thankfully, the Second Amendment community is fighting back hard against this travesty, and putting up serious resistance against these politicians and their friends at the ATF.
If they succeed at banning Glocks, it will be one of the most damaging attacks on the Constitution in generations.
